Become a JA Coach
Today's economy fails to meet everyone's needs. Nearly 60% of US employers lament the unpreparedness of jobseekers, even for basic roles. Additionally, over 3 million young people are disengaged, neither working nor in school.
Junior Achievement USA's JA Workforce Pathways initiative, funded by the US Department of Labor, aims to bridge the gap between employers and entry-level employees by coaching disengaged young adults.
Through personalized one-on-one coaching sessions, participants receive support in aligning their interests, skills, and needs with employment opportunities. The program includes:
- One four-hour coach training session followed by 12 individual coaching sessions
- Guiding participants toward suitable job placements or career-focused educational programs
- Participants aged 16 to 21 develop personalized action plans, gain access to employer databases, receive assistance in creating professional online profiles and resumes, and connect with various employment opportunities.
