Scott leads the international corporate banking business for HSBC on the West Coast. With his teams based in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Denver and Seattle, Scott supports overseas multinationals and their US subsidiaries by providing financing, cash management, foreign exchange, and capital markets solutions to help them achieve their ambitions in the United States and access US capital and equity markets. HSBC is one of the world’s largest banking and financial services organizations, serving approximately 39 million customers with a network covering 62 countries and territories.

Scott has over twenty years’ experience with HSBC, largely in Asia and Europe. Prior to relocating to San Francisco in 2022, Scott was based in Manchester, England, leading HSBC’s corporate bank in Northern England, Scotland and Northern Ireland. He has previously held roles including Head of Corporate Banking and Management Board Member of HSBC Bank Poland, as well as Global Head of Business Development and Global COO for HSBC’s investment banking practices focused on project and infrastructure finance, as well as natural resources and renewable energy based in London. Scott spent six years in Vietnam, leading HSBC Vietnam’s corporate and investment bank, and held other key management roles with the HSBC Group in Czech Republic and Hong Kong.

Scott also chairs the HSBC Pride Employee Resources Group for the West Coast, supporting LGBTQIA inclusion. Scott is married to his husband Cesario, and graduated magna cum laude from Georgetown University, and London School of Economics. Scott has previously worked with Junior Achievement in Vietnam and Poland, and as a west coast native, Scott is delighted to be supporting Junior Achievement in Northern California.
